La Compagnie Tangente est un collectif d’artistes pluridisciplinaires avec une vision commune d’un théâtre expérimental et engagé.
En 2019, The Parochial segments réunit performance + exposition photos de Maya Mercer au Silencio à Paris en partenariat avec Paris Photo, reprise à l’occasion de Documenta 2022 (Kunsthaus Göttingen – Allemagne).
En 2020-21, résidence + création du spectacle Je ne suis pas de Moi d’après Les Carnets en marge de Roland Dubillard au Théâtre du Rond-Point, adaptation et mise en scène de Maria Machado et Charlotte Escamez.
Puis, tournée en France et au Luxembourg et reprise au Théâtre du Lucernaire fin 2022.
En 2023, la Compagnie Tangente et le Théâtre National du Luxembourg s’associent pour créer Les Crabes de Roland Dubillard dans une mise en scène de Frank Hoffmann. La création aura lieu au Théâtre du Chêne Noir pendant le Festival d’Avignon OFF – suivie d’une tournée en France et en Europe en 2023- 2024.
En 2023, la compagnie est intervenue à la Maison d’Arrêt de Fleury-Mérogis auprès des détenus en longues peines, pour documenter Le Cas Oreste d’après Les Euménides (le dernier volet de l’Orestie d’Eschyle) par l’autrice Charlotte Escamez.
La Compagnie Tangente s’inscrit dans une démarche socio-culturelle et éducative, elle mène un travail conséquent auprès de collégiens, lycéens et universitaires, notamment dans le département de l’Essonne (91) où elle est implantée.

Compagnie Tangente is a collective of multidisciplinary artists with a common vision of experimental and committed theatre.
In 2019, The Parochial segments brings together performance + photo exhibition by Maya Mercer at the Silencio in Paris in partnership with Paris Photo, revived on the occasion of Documenta 2022 (Kunsthaus Göttingen – Germany).
In 2020-21, residency + creation of the show Je ne suis pas de Moi according to Les Carnets on the sidelines of Roland Dubillard at the Théâtre du Rond-Point, adaptation and staging by Maria Machado and Charlotte Escamez. Then, tour in France and Luxembourg and resumed at the Théâtre du Lucernaire at the end of 2022.
In 2023, Compagnie Tangente and the Théâtre National du Luxembourg are joining forces to create Les Crabes by Roland Dubillard, directed by Frank Hoffmann. The creation will take place at the Théâtre du Chêne Noir during the Avignon OFF Festival – followed by a tour in France and Europe in 2023-2024.
In 2023, the company intervened at the Maison d’Arrêt de Fleury-Mérogis with detainees serving long sentences, to document Le Cas Oreste according to Les Eumenides (the last part of Aeschylus’ Oresteia) by the author Charlotte Escamez. Compagnie Tangente is part of a socio-cultural and educational approach, it carries out substantial work with middle and high school students and university students, particularly in the department of Essonne (91) where it is located.
